CHUROD Annual Quality Innovation Review & Awards

On December 5, 2024, CHUROD’s annual Quality Innovation summary and awards ceremony was successfully held. With the joint support and efforts of leaders at all levels, staff from various departments, and dozens of suppliers, the event concluded perfectly.

Part 1: Review the Past

Before we knew it, the Quality Innovation campaign has been carried out for three full years. Looking back, as Mr. Zhang from the Quality Department put it: 2022 marked the launch of the Quality Innovation initiative. Like an infant full of hope, it was born with a clear mission. Guided closely by the Quality Department and relevant leaders, team members of each project took their first tentative steps, and initial results were achieved. 

In 2023, after accumulating experience, Quality Innovation grew into a young pioneer, starting to show its strengths and forge ahead boldly. This pioneering spirit is exactly what we need on CHUROD’s journey of transformation. In 2024, while advancing faster and more steadily, CHUROD, now matured, led our supplier partners to hold high the banner of "Quality Innovation" and jointly build a high-quality supply chain.

Part 2: Guide the Future

At the opening of the event, Mr. Zhou delivered important remarks on site: “Quality is the foundation of an enterprise, and innovation is the soul of its development. Given today’s domestic and global landscape amid fierce competition, only by tackling tough challenges, pursuing continuous innovation and improving quality can we forge ahead against strong market tides. In the future of China’s manufacturing industry, only innovative leading enterprises with courage and drive will survive. Our pool of highly educated talents has laid a solid foundation for CHUROD’s growth, and continuous innovation is the core of our market competitiveness. All suppliers must align with CHUROD on strategy, make progress together and pursue win-win cooperation.”

Part 3: Achievements of Innovation

A total of 10 suppliers and 18 CHUROD project teams participated in this year’s Quality Innovation campaign. Participation from supplier partners brought new vitality to the initiative and demonstrates CHUROD’s commitment to quality improvement.

1.  Suppliers actively followed CHUROD’s quality innovation roadmap. They enhanced material quality through technical upgrades, mold design optimization and process parameter tuning, achieving remarkable results with improved process capability and a sharp drop in non-conformity incidents.

2.  18 internal CHUROD project teams analyzed, improved, verified and standardized solutions for existing quality bottlenecks. They delivered 7 standardized design documents, 2 equipment standards, 3 mold standards, 12 process standards and 7 procedure standards, with estimated benefits exceeding one million RMB.

Part 4: Awards Presentation

Awards including Champion, Runner-up, Third Place, Star Supporter and Light of Support were presented for the supplier group. Champion, Runner-up and Third Place awards were also granted to internal CHUROD project teams.

Part 5: Future Outlook

Finally, we would like to thank all leaders and judges present at the event, as well as all internal project teams and suppliers for their active participation. Your persistent pursuit of superior product quality, together with in-depth exploration and optimization of work philosophies, management processes, technological innovation and corporate culture, will leave solid and indelible marks on CHUROD’s quality development journey. The road of quality innovation is long and challenging. As General Manager Liang stated in his closing speech: Over the past three years, the Quality Innovation campaign has visibly raised quality awareness across CHUROD. We must stick to root cause analysis and waste reduction initiatives led by the Quality Department. Let us jointly witness new achievements in this new chapter of innovation and elevate CHUROD’s quality innovation to new heights. See you next year!
